Danica had been hospitalized a couple of times with complications and just a week after a hospitalization where a nurse encourage her to really think about what she wanted to do once her daughter arrived, she learned she had passed. Danica was induced and gave birth to Freya at 28 weeks gestation. She held her afterwards but they brought Freya to her all wrapped up and she never saw her face. Danica had thought that because of her medical history and loss that had been her only chance at pregnancy. Just after her 30th birthday, she learned that she was pregnant with her Rainbow Baby and was over the moon. Danica says she always knew she was having a boy and was thrilled when it was confirmed. On April 7th, 2013 exactly a year and a half, almost to the minute that her daughter passed away, Danica gave birth to a healthy beautiful boy.
