The amazing Erin Thomson with her daughter Lauren (4) and Ian (9 months). Erin had cholestasis throughout her pregnancy with Lauren and had to be induced at 37 weeks as a result. Lauren had some respiratory complications after birth and had to spend her first 12 days of her life in NICU. She was formula fed at first but Erin was able to transition her to the breast. When she was 10 months old, Erin separated from Lauren's father. Some time after, she met her current partner and conceived Ian. She had a much different experience in her second pregnancy with far less complications. She had a much more difficult time getting Ian to breast but has been able to maintain an exclusive breastfeeding relationship with him.
