The serene Maureen Codispodi with baby Augusta (6 months). Maureen had a very healthy pregnancy and had hoped for an unmedicated homebirth with midwives. She went 15 days post dates and went into the hospital to be induced. She would dilate then stall and ultimately had to deliver Augusta via cesarean after laboring for 3 days. She says that recovery was easy and she was able to take pain medication minimally and get up to walk the first day. She was able to start nursing while still recovering and Augusta has done very well.
