The amazing Emily Howell with her daughter's Lucy (3) and Ella Ruth (14 months). Emily also has a son, Landon (5). Emily and her husband struggled with infertility when attempting to conceive Landon. After about a year, Clomid and intrauterine insemination (IUI) allowed them to conceive. She had a relatively healthy pregnancy until it was determined she had dangerously low amniotic fluid and had to have a cesarean at 36 weeks. She and her husband treated infertility issues a second time before conceiving Lucy. This pregnancy Emily suddenly developed Preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome and had to deliver via emergency cesarean at 29 weeks. Lucy weighed just 2lbs at birth and spent 56 days in the NICU. 24 hours after her birth, Emily developed Ecclampsia and had a seizure. Her doctors couldn't find a pulse for quite some time and warned her husband she would have brain damage. Thankfully, Emily is fully recovered but she battled anxiety and depression from the trauma of it all. Ella was a surprise natural conception and Emily's healthiest pregnancy. While she dealt with fluid issues this time as well and had a third cesarean, Ella was her biggest and healthiest baby.
