The gorgeous Jenn Gray with her daughter Emme (4) and son Finn (17 months). Jenn had healthy pregnancies with each of her children and conception was not a concern either time. Her birth with Emme was pretty straight forward and things progressed fairly quickly. She labored at home for a long time and when she arrived at the hospital they were a bit upset she'd waited so long to come in. She labored down but when they check her they discovered Emme had her arm up by her face and she needed a bit of vacuum assistance to help her out. They were able to have a wonderful nursing relationship and she continued to nurse into her pregnancy with Finn. Jenn's second pregnancy was a bit more challenging in that she had a toddler at home as well. Labor started and progressed very well again this time but Finn was 10lbs 12oz and when she pushed his head out his shoulders became stuck and he also needed some assistance to be pulled out. She and Finn also have a wonderful, ongoing nursing relationship.
While Jenn is grateful that both of her children were born healthy she has continued to struggle with the fact that she needed some help getting them out. As a nurse and a mother she struggles with the question of whether she could have done more or been better education. On the other hand she knows that there isn't anything she could have done differently and hopes that taking part of this and sharing her story helps her to truly believe that.
