The amazing Olivia Goree, Christian (3) and Asher (11 months). Olivia never imagined she would have two children at 22 but says that she has been able to adjust in part due to the support of her family and her friends. Both of her pregnancies went well and while she had wanted to have a natural delivery with her first admits she didn't really know what that meant. She changed her mind and needed to have an epidural with Christian but by that time it was too late. And with Asher, she says that knowing what to expect made everything easier. When Christian was about 6 weeks old, she learned he had glaucoma and has since had to under six surgeries to help heal his eyes. Thankfully, with the operations and glasses, he has been able to adapt and see without much difficulty. Just before Asher was born, Olivia learned that he had a heart murmur which they've continued to monitor but is getting better.
Olivia says that moms today tend to struggle with their bodies and she too has felt like she needs to hide the physical marks left by motherhood but instead wants to embrace the beauty that it is. She will be returning to university school and is looking forward to finishing what she started as the new woman and mother she has come to be.
