The stunning Cindle Fontan-Bennett with her children Maddox (5), Lindley (3) and Bowen (4 months). Cindle is also mother to Eliza Grace who passed away during pregnancy and miscarried another baby shortly thereafter. Cindle participated in the project previously while she was just 9 weeks pregnant with baby Bowen. You can view her previous bio here: http://4thtrimesterbodies.com/cindle-fontan-bennet/
Cindle's pregnancy with Bowen went very well other than the anxiety of worrying that she was going to lose this baby as well. At about 20 weeks she had an anatomy scan and they asked to check her cervix which revealed it was just over 2cms. They were worried her cervix was shortening putting her at risk for preterm labor so they continued to monitor her very closely and ultimately put her on modified bedrest when her cervix shortened even further. Because they didn't have anything to compare it to there was always the possibility that she just has a short cervix but the threat of miscarriage or premature delivery with her history was enough to keep monitoring. At about 35 weeks they decided that she was probably just fine and Cindle ended up carrying post dates. She went into labor on her own and delivered Bowen quicker than any of her other babies, in just 4 hours start to finish. Breastfeeding is going well, though Bowen had to have a tongue tie revision and they are still using a nipple shield which she hopes to be able to wean off of soon.
While Cindle says that will never feel whole or complete after the loss of the babies she doesn't get to raise it was their loss that allowed Bowen to be here. His pregnancy and birth was a very healing experience and now that she's had her last baby she very much wanted to document this phase of mothering and moment with her children.
