The lovely Kirsten Hagopian with her daughter Ella (10 months). Kirsten says she felt beautiful while pregnant and enjoyed every bit of it. She didn't want to go into labor with a birth plan because she thought that if things didn't go accordingly she would be disappointed. However, after laboring for a very long time and pushing for 3 hours she had to have a cesarean. Kirsten says that she felt defeated after working so hard to birth her daughter vaginally and then feeling like the cesarean wasn't optional. She had a great recovery and start with breastfeeding due to an extended time in the hospital with helpful nurses and her supportive husband. Kirsten hopes to do more research and have a well rounded birth plan with her next pregnancy.
