The amazing Anita Salazar with her daughter Trinity (23 months). Anita and her husband met in the Marine Corps and dated for about 20 years before they decided to have children. Anita was 43 when Trinity was born and her husband was 50, so it's taken some time to find their community as parents and they've decided that Trinity will be their only child. She was a professional, strong woman and body builder up until she decided to become a mother and it was very important for her to stay fit throughout her pregnancy. While she quit competing while trying to get pregnant, she continued to exercise and deadlifted up until the day she delivered. She had 3 rounds of IVF, which all failed, then got pregnant with Trinity after the last round was unsuccessful. She had a very healthy pregnancy and labored at home until Trinity was nearly crowning. They rushed to the hospital, and Anita was able to make it to labor and delivery where her daughter arrived naturally about 45 minutes later. Trinity started breastfeeding right away and is still nursing today. Anita travels a lot for work, so she pumps while away and plans to continue until her daughter is ready to wean. Anita chose to participate in the project to capture this point in time physically with her daughter.
