The stunning Sara Lembke, Maddox (2.5) and Carter (11 mo).
Sara's first pregnancy came as a bit of a surprise but she and her husband were excited and told everyone right away. Sadly, she lost the baby to miscarriage in her first trimester which was a difficult process. She conceived again soon there after but lost this baby early on as well. Sara's miscarriages, made Maddox's pregnancy the following year, much more difficult. She was watched closely for placenta previa and found it very difficult to connect with the pregnancy until her son was earth side. Thankfully Sara's placenta moved up and she was able to have a vaginal delivery without any complications.
Sara's pregnancy with Carter was much more relaxed and she felt like she knew how to be pregnant this time. She notes that chasing a toddler around also may have had something to do with her lack of stress about the pregnancy. Her birth again, went very well with labor starting independently and things progressing smoothly. She chose to have an epidural and was able to give birth to her son without any issues
After having a friend participate in this movement and enjoying the stories of celebration and triumph from so many other women, Sara felt compelled to join the chorus.
