Jennifer Brown

March 30, 2014 in 4th Trimester Bodies

The beautiful Jennifer Brown with her youngest of 4, Silas (4) and Kyla (2). Jennifer is also mom to Charlie (10) and Dylan (8), who share a birthday two years apart. Jennifer got pregnant with her first at 28 by surprise and had a very uneventful pregnancy and delivery. Her water broke 3 days prior to her due date. She labored at home for 18 hours before going to the hospital. She was able to have a 45 hour drug/intervention free delivery with midwives. Her second pregnancy and delivery was almost identical other than being about 15 hours shorter. Her pregnancy with Silas was fine until her sonogram when they found a multicystic kidney. The rest of her pregnancy was uneventful with the exception of severe leg pain and sciatica in the last two months. She went into labor with him 8 days late and her water didn't break until she was pushing. At 17 months Silas stopped walking and talking and they discovered he had a very rare brain tumor and because of that hydrocephalus. He's endured 20 brain surgeries in his 4 years of life but is now a year surgery free and otherwise healthy and rambunctious. Jennifer's pregnancy with Kyla was very different than with her boys. She was presenting breech a few weeks before delivery. She was going to have an external rotation but tried a few yoga poses first and was able to get her to turn. Jennifer had a difficult back labor as Kyla was born sunny side up but was able to have another natural delivery.
