The wonderful Jessica Courtright with her daughter Aubrey (5 months). Jessica is also bonus mom to Autumn (3). Jessica came into Autumn's life when she was just two and as her partner had full custody, gradually became her mother figure. She loved and cared for her from the start but says that once she got pregnant she had a new appreciation for her role as mother. Her pregnancy went very well, she found out she was pregnant after getting sick a bunch of times in one day but wasn't sick at all after that. She had to be induced about 11 days prior to her due date due to elevated blood pressure and protein in her urine. Her labor was about 13 hours with no complication and she pushed for 45 minutes before Aubrey was in her arms. She had hoped to breastfeed and Aubrey latched right away but wasn't able to suck efficiently. Jessica started pumping exclusively and then supplementing with formula but Aubrey kept dropping weight. She switched to full formula and she's been doing great since. Aubrey was diagnosed with torticollis at 2 months and started physical therapy. She's been doing very well and is almost done with her services. Jessica says that her body has changed completely since pregnancy but it's here to stay and she's working to accept and love it.
