The lovely Tanya Martin with 9 month old, Owen. Tanya had a healthy pregnancy dealing with morning sickness during her first trimester and feeling great in her second but was measuring very large and in her third trimester had a worry of gestational diabetes. Due to her concern for Owen she requested a scheduled cesarean birth. While everything went great and Owen was healthy, Tanya had a lot of guilt after that then turned to postpartum depression. While dealing with her depression through going to a support group helped, Tanya didn't want to take any meds as she felt it was important for her to get control of herself and her emotions. Tanya also struggled with breastfeeding and found that the struggles started making her feel resentment toward her son and she decided it was best to stop nursing and pumping at about 4 months. Tanya is very active and plays soccer competitively, and had a difficult time with the changes in her body and ability to compete but has just started back this season.
