The stunning Julia Schoellenbach with her twins, Aria and Oliver (14 months). She also mom to Colin (3). Julia had a healthy first pregnancy and had hoped to give birth at home but on her due date when in for an ultrasound and was told she needed to be induced immediately and ultimately she delivered via cesarean. While everything went well, she was upset that she'd had the exact opposite of the birth experience she desired. Her pregnancy with the twins went very well. She'd hoped for a home birth but found out at around 12 weeks she was expecting twins and knew that was out the window. She found a doctor who was willing to let her attempt a twin VBAC but his condition was that baby A was head down and Aria was breech her entire pregnancy so she had a repeat cesarean. She was able to experience labor this time but has still felt a lot of grief over not being able to birth a baby vaginally and bring it to her chest right away. Breastfeeding has gone well, Colin weaned just before his first birthday and the twins are still nursing today. Julia has struggled with her body post babies. Particularly after her twins pregnancy she has skin that won't go back no matter how fit she is and it's just been much more difficult this time. She wants to view her body as beautiful and capable and hopes to someday get there.
