The amazing Dannii Purcell with her son Harry (16 months). Dannii's first pregnancy ended in miscarriage which was rather difficult. She very much enjoyed her second pregnancy, but had quite a few ailments. She suffered from Hyperemesis throughout, had hemorrhoids, swelling, hives... all the things! Right at 40 weeks, she found out she had developed Pre-eclampsia and would need to be induced. She was induced at 41 weeks and labored without complication. Dannii had planned to delay cord clamping until her placenta had been delivered but they had to clamp it prematurely because she had a postpartum hemorrhage. They were able to stop it, but she ended up needing two units of blood. Dannii had hoped to breastfeed but had a difficult time with latch and suck. After seeing a few lactation consultants, she decided it just wasn't in the cards for her. Dannii is an advocate for loving the body you have whether it's typical or not and wanted to participate to be part of that!
