The beautiful Danielle Brock, Hadley (3), and Camden (3 months)
Danielle says that she never felt she was good at anything in her life until she became a mother. She has come into her own since becoming a mom and says that her favorite parts of her identity are embodied in motherhood.
Pregnancy has gone very well for Danielle and she knew that she wanted to go about things more naturally minded. She had an intervention and medication free hospital birth with Hadley and after everything went well, knew that she wanted to give birth at home with Camden. Things went beautifully with both of her births and she has had wonderful breastfeeding relationships.
Danielle has struggled with disordered eating since she was in 8th grade but notes that she remembers having poor body image her whole life. When she was in kindergarten she remembers exercising to her moms work out videos so she could have a different body. Danielle acknowledges that once you have an eating disorder it doesn't just go away. While it's something she expects to navigate for the rest of her life she's made a commitment to make sure that she doesn't pass the concerns that her struggles are rooted in onto her children. She hopes that celebrating herself in this movement and having this experience to look back on helps her along the way.
