The lovely Stephanie Judge with her daughter Kennedy (14 month). Stephanie had a fairly typical pregnancy and didn't have any real expectations about her birth as she didn't want to be disappointed. She went into labor 5 days before her estimated due date and labored at home until she was about 5 cm. She was in a lot of pain, so she opted for an epidural but it didn't take and the nurses and doctors didn't believe her. Kennedy was born healthy but Stephanie couldn't get her to latch for the first 8 weeks so she pumped exclusively. On her 8th week she was able to latch and transition to the breast. Stephanie weaned her at around 10 months due to biting. Stephanie suffers from anxiety and OCD and chose to go off of her medication for the duration of her pregnancy and breastfeeding relationship. While it has been a challenge, she is still doing well without medication today.
