The amazing Marissa Osborne with her daughter Ava-Lee (2.5) and son Rory (6 months). Both of Marissa's pregnancies were wonderful. She gained nearly 100 lbs with each child but loved being pregnant and was very healthy. Both of her children were born via cesarean. She feels she was a bit scared into that decision after being told they were too big at around 10lbs each. She attempted a vaginal delivery with Ava-Lee, labored and even felt her crown but she got stuck and had to be pushed back up for an emergency cesarean delivery. On Rory's due date, Marissa was told that it wasn't in her best interest to attempt a VBAC. She breastfed Ava-Lee until 3 months exclusively and then supplemented with formula until 6 months and then weaned entirely. She just transitioned Rory to formula a couple of weeks ago as well. Marissa finds herself wishing that her deliveries and breastfeeding experiences had gone differently, but is ultimately grateful that both of her babies are healthy and happy and here.
