The beautiful Elaine Huddlestone with her son, Flynn (10 months). Elaine had a healthy pregnancy and went a little post dates. She had a non-stress test a couple days past his due date and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. She was induced and given magnesium along Pitocin. She labored for 50 hours with labor starting and stopping, had a foley balloon to help her dilate and ultimately had a cesarean birth. Flynn wasn't breathing when he was born and had to be resuscitated and spend a night in the NICU. Elaine was able to hold him briefly but didn't feel really feel connected. Like many unexpected cesarean moms she has struggled with not feeling as if she had given birth to her son.
