The amazing Mary Archer with Isabella (7) and Joshua (5). Mary was told that she would never be able to have children due to endometriosis. She got pregnant with Isabella unexpectedly and was elated but had a difficult pregnancy due to placenta previa and bleeding that required frequent monitoring. Her placenta moved in her third trimester and she was able to deliver her healthy girl vaginally three weeks before her due date. Her second pregnancy was planned but also difficult. She had hyperemesis gravidarum, was in car accident and had a bad fall. She labored for 7 weeks before she delivered her son. Following her two healthy pregnancies Mary had five miscarriages. 4 were early and mid first trimester and her fifth was an early second trimester loss. All for reasons unknown.
Mary's husband struggled with drug addiction for most of their relationship and recently took his own life. He had an affair the last two years of his life resulting in two daughters who are now 31 months and 19 months old. Due to abuse and legal issues with their biological mother Mary is now raising both of them as well as their 14 year old sister as her own through foster care.
Mary has always struggled with body image and hopes that participating in this movement will help her not only celebrate her motherhood but embrace the body it has given her.
