The beautiful Natasha Beaucage with her son Samuel (2.5) and is also 36 weeks, 5 days pregnant. Conception was a breeze with each of her pregnancies and her pregnancies themselves have gone very well. The trouble for Natasha began during labor and delivery. She had planned to deliver in hospital with pretty open expectations but feels like the medical system failed her a bit. She was already contracting when she arrived but they started pitocin to get things moving a bit faster. She stalled at 7cms so they broke her waters but Samuel still wasn't descending and she was not progressing. The decision was eventually made to deliver via cesarean which was scary and difficult for Natasha. She says the moments after his birth are pretty hazy and though she was able to initiate breastfeeding fairly quickly, missing on the first moments of seeing him and having skin to skin were not the experience she'd hoped for. Natasha nursed Samuel until he self weaned at 19 months and hopes to do the same with this baby. Natasha is hoping for an attempted VBAC/trial of labor with this birth but does have a cesarean scheduled. She says that she doesn't have any support to attempt birthing vaginally but may push for an induction and is somewhat hopeful she'll go into labor on her own prior to her scheduled cesarean. Natasha says that she has always been comfortable with her body and happily wore a bikini 4 months after Sam's arrival but realizes that there are many women in her life who struggle and she hopes to provide them with an example of how normal and beautiful they all are.
