The amazing Amanda Covarrubias with her son, Rafael III (13 months). Amanda is also mom to Olivia (3.5). Amanda's first pregnancy was healthy. Olivia's sex was a fun surprise and she arrived after 13 hours of uncomplicated labor. She swallowed some fluid on the way out and had to be taken to nursery for suction which was very upsetting for Amanda. Thankfully, she was able to nurse until her daughter was about 15 months old. A few months later, Amanda had a missed miscarriage and had to be monitored and have blood work done for about 6 weeks before her body allowed it to pass. She conceived Raphael a short time later and had another healthy and enjoyable pregnancy. He had a cyst on the gland that produces spinal fluid in utero but his growth and development were not affected and it resolved on it's own. Amanda's labor progressed much more quickly and Raphael's birth was wonderful. He's still nursing strong and Amanda says she doesn't see things slowing down any time soon. Amanda says that while she is undoubtedly "skinny" her body has still changed drastically through pregnancy and breastfeeding and she couldn't be more proud of it.
