The gorgeous Jasmine Sims with her daughters Jazmyn Leigh (7) and Blu Monroe (2). She is also mom to a son, Tonie Lee who would be 8 but passed away at 7 weeks old. Jasmine's first pregnancy was when she was 17. She wasn't sure what to do but her parents encouraged her to terminate the pregnancy as she was a straight A student with scholarships in place and a bright future ahead of her. She ended up ending her pregnancy which she's had to process at points in her life but knows was the best choice for her then. Jasmine was active duty Army and her husband was an active duty Marine when her son was conceived. She had a wonderful pregnancy and birth experience. Her husband was deployed when her son was born but she was supported by her mom and close friends. At 7 weeks old, on Thanksgiving day, Tonie died of SIDS. His father had never had a chance to meet him alive but was able to come home afterwards. She concived Jazmyn soon after and had another healthy pregnancy and birth, although it had moments of emotional difficulty due to her still fresh grief. She lost a pregnancy to miscarraige before concieving Blu and her most recent pregnancy was without complication as well. It was also the first time she'd had a pregnancy and birth in the civilian health system and found the experience to be very different from the military system. Jasmine had breastfed Tonie but wasn't able to make things work with Jazmyn. She tried again with Blu and says that it was person triumph being able to nurse her for her full first year of life. Jasmine is currently working on her second Master's degree and says that she loves being a wife and mother even though she sometimes misses the plays and performances. On her reasons for participating, she noted, "I want to show other women that we have nothing to be ashamed or guilty of. We have given life - and we deserve to have one of our own."
