The gorgeous Kea Gwin with her daughter Harper (11 months). Kea found out she was pregnant and had her first ultrasound the day before her 20th birthday. While she had a lot of family support she is a full time college student and spent the first half of her pregnancy mostly alone. Things went very well and she had an uncomplicated pregnancy and vaginal delivery. Kea chose to have elective induction just before term so that she could have her daughter, recover and return to school for finals. One week after Harper was born she was back at school completing her testing with her daughter in her arms. Breastfeeding has gone very well and she says that she wasn't aware some people struggled initially because they were able to have such success from day one. She had initially hoped to make it to one year, but now that they're so close she says she doesn't see an end in sight and plans to continue until Harper is ready to wean. Kea has always been an athlete and had a very fit body so it has taken some time to begin to accept her stretch marks and changes in her body since becoming a mother. She says that inside, she feels more comfortable with who she is than she ever has but on the outside she's still searching for that same security. Participating in this project and sharing her story are the first step in that journey.
