The lovely Lia Filomena Ciccotti with her daughter's Chloe Antonia (7) and Ellie Isabel (5). Lia had very healthy pregnancies with each of her girls. She didn't have any problems with conception and had amazingly fast labors and deliveries. Her first was 3 hours from start to finish and her second daughter arrived in about 45 minutes. She says that if she has any more children she will likely have to deliver at home out of necessity. Lia did experience an ectopic pregnancy in between her daughters that caused her to have one of her fallopian tubes removed. She says that she knew from the moment she realized that she was pregnant that something was wrong and that this pregnancy was not going to make it which allowed her to cope in a way that eliminated grief. Lia's daughters are 25 months apart and she has breastfed them both, Chloe for about 24 months and Ellie until she was 3.5. Lia wants her daughters to know that their bodies are beautiful. She is of Mormon faith but was raised in New York where she says the dialogue about women's bodies and sex is very different than there she is now in Salt Lake. She has already educated her girls and wants her daughters to know that sex is wonderful in the right situations and relationships and that they don't need ascribe to any external notions about what makes them beautiful or whole.
