The lovely Lori Edwards with her daughters Vivian (2.5 years) and Violet (9 months). Lori miscarried her first pregnancy at 11 weeks. Her second pregnancy went well until she developed hypertension and ended up delivering Vivian vaginally at 36 weeks. She was small and not doing well at birth, leading to a 1 month NICU stay. Vivian came home on a heart monitor but is doing very well today. Lori was able to get pregnant again without any issue and because they knew that high blood pressure could be an issue she was able to take medication to keep it in check and carry. She was able to have an uncomplicated vaginal delivery and was able to take Violet home with her. Lori had planned to breastfeed but neither of her girls would ever latch. She pumped for each of them for a few weeks and then switched to formula. Lori says that she sees women feeding their babies, whether from the breast or formula and just thinks they're awesome either way.
