The amazing Tracy Kachtick-Anders with 5 of her 7, Atrayue (18), Archie (12) Savana (11), Wyatt (10) and Andres (5). Tracy is also mom to Clarence (22) and Desi (19). 6 of Tracy's children have come to her through foster care and then been adopted. In total she's fostered about 12 children. Tracy used a sperm donor to conceive her biological child. Her first attempt ended in miscarriage and it was so painful she didn't think she would try again. She did and was able to conceive Wyatt. She says that she felt very vulnerable during her pregnancy and that her body wouldn't fully cooperate. She had sciatica and two children who weren't walking in addition to her growing belly. At her second trimester screen she learned she had a marker for Down syndrome. The nurse told her she had a 1 in 28 chance at having a baby with Down syndrome, chances were that she wouldn't but somebody has to be the one. Wyatt was born at 35 weeks and had some breathing and feeding issues but Tracy feels lucky that she got to be the one and that sentiment, that someone GETS to be the one, has translated to so many other areas of her life.
