The phenomenal Janice Quiles-Reyes and her daughter, Madeline Olivia (6 mo). Janice is also mom to Gustavo Gabriel and Olivia Flor. Janice's pregnancy with Gustavo was wonderful and she was able to have the peaceful natural delivery she had hoped, but he was still born at full term due after his cord became tangled around his neck. Janice had a difficult time deciding to get pregnant again but a year later she conceived her beautiful daughter, Olivia. Olivia passed away at 14 weeks in utero due to Trisomy 18. While Janice had once been hopeful, she was heartbroken and during her third pregnancy was anxious that something was going to go wrong. She had a healthy pregnancy and towards the end, Madeline was flipping from transverse to head down. The option for a cesarean was presented and Janice jumped at the chance to bring her daughter earth side with less fear of complications. When Madeline was born, she wasn't crying and both Janice and her husband were fearful but with stimulation Janice soon heard her scream. She cried as her daughter cried and while she still has fear that at some point the other shoe will drop and something will go wrong, her mantra is "keep the baby alive" and she is loving every second with her girl.
