The fabulous Mollie Fallon and Ainsley Olivia, 11 months.
Mollie feels fortunate to have had a really positive pregnancy experience. She carried to 41 weeks when her water broke with a slow leak. Mollie went into the doctor for a scheduled appointment and they decided it was time to go ahead and get the baby out. She went to the hospital and after a few hours of pitocin contractions she asked for an epidural which was just what she needed. Her body relaxed and Ainsley arrived just after.
Motherhood has been a fun adventure since, for Mollie. Breastfeeding was difficult for the first few weeks but just shy of her daughter's first birthday she's made it to her goal and is excited to see what happens from here.
Mollie loves the idea of celebrating bodies and experiences as they are and motherhood as it is. This process of parenthood has helped her reframe her ideas of what strength is. It isn't traditionally what we think of, just physical strength, but so much more - patience, kindness, resolve, what it takes to be a parent are all the things that define strength and that is so deserving of celebration.
