Valerie Lamping

February 22, 2014 in 4th Trimester Bodies

The beautiful Valerie Lamping and 10 month old Henry. Valerie wasn't certain she wanted to have kids but absolutely loved being pregnant. She had a fun pregnancy and felt wonderful in her body. Labor, however, was more difficult than she expected. After a long slow labor she dilated and progressed very quickly and eventually consented to an epidural. While the epidural was hugely helpful for the pain, it slowed her labor down quite a bit.  Henry was sunny side up and Valerie eventually needed and episiotomy to push him out.  Once he was born and she learned he was a boy it made it all worth it but she needed to heal emotionally from her birth and physically, her perineum has taken nearly 10 months to heal. Valerie spoke on the importance of the project to herself, her son and her husband. She is newly married and her husband has been hugely supportive in growing and changing with her on her journey to motherhood.
