The stunning Clare Salisbury with her son Eli (4) and daughter Lula (9 weeks). Clare had healthy pregnancies with both of her children. Eli was born in the water naturally with the assistance of midwives. She really retreated her first delivery and wanted to do things herself. Eli was able to nurse right away without complication. Just before Lula was conceived, Clare was having a lot of anxiety and panic attacks which made her nervous about her birth. She was able to heal during her pregnancy through reading and support and her yoga practice and community. Clare stayed at home through contractions that were 5 minutes apart. She did all she could to relax and as things progressed, decided to go in. She tried to sleep through the contractions, but they were too intense, so she jumped up and worked through them. After about 40 minutes of pushing in the water, Lula was born at just over 39 weeks. This time, nursing has been without complication. Clare felt very certain about this birth while she'd been apprehensive in her last and she was able to rely on the help of her partner a lot more. Clare's anxiety has been better this time around, in the moments it's resurfaced, she's been able to get a hold of things and reach out for help when she needs to. She is doing all she can to teach her children positive body image and also embrace it herself.
