The lovely Karine Sutherland with daughter Janelle (19 months). Karine has uterus didelphys which means that she has two uterus with one cervix. She was waiting to see a specialist to see if it was possible to get pregnant and explore if there were any risks. By the time her doctor was able to get her in, she was already pregnant and learned that the only real concern was the baby getting stuck in the wrong position requiring a cesarean delivery. Her pregnancy was healthy and labor and delivery went very well for the most part. Janelle got stuck at one point and the doctor had to rip out part of the septum separating her uterus so that she could get through which was pretty traumatizing. Janelle wasn't born as responsive as they would have liked so they took her away momentarily but she was okay before long. Karine's placenta didn't deliver on its own and the doctor had to manually remove it as well. She lost a lot of blood requiring her to be transfused and she was unable to sit or walk normally for months. She and Janelle were able to initiate nursing without issue. She has bit of pain with her latch and it was just discovered that she had a tongue and lip tie that needed to be laser corrected.
