The lovely Jessica Miller with her youngest of five boys, Owen (9 months). Jessica is also mama to Colin (4.5) and 2.5 year old triplets Carter, Everett and Finley. Jessica had a healthy pregnancy with Colin. She had planned a natural birth with a midwife and labored in a birthing tub. She thought he would be born in the in water but his heart rate began dropping and she rushed out for an emergency cesarean. They tried a last minute forceps delivery and Colin was able to be born vaginally. Jessica's next pregnancy, triplet boys was also very healthy. At 29 weeks she went in for a routine doctor visit and found out she was in labor. She went to labor and delivery and very quickly was 5 cms. They thought her boys would be born then but labor was stopped and she was able to stay pregnant for 5 more weeks. 3 of those weeks she spent in the hospital and for the final 2 weeks she was allowed to go home. Her water broke at 34 weeks and she was able to have a vaginal triplet birth. Her boys were healthy, able to be held immediately and only spent 2 weeks in NICU. Jessica's pregnancy with Owen was very healthy and she had a very intimate birth experience. She had hoped for an unmedicated delivery but while laboring had a lot of scary and overwhelming feelings rush back from her first birth experience. She opted for an epidural and Owen was born quickly and able to nurse right away.
