The wonderful Christel Diamond, Noah (5), and Jasmine (21 months).
Christel was previously married and says that when she met her now husband things moved rather quickly. They conceived Noah and moved cross country to be closer to family. While pregnancy and birth went really well for her, Christel found herself struggling with postpartum depression heavily after he was born. She returned to work 7 weeks postpartum which exacerbated things and she weathered the depression without seeking professional help. It wasn't until they decided to move back to Chicago that Christel says she started feeling better.
Pregnancy, birth and postpartum were an entirely different experience with Jasmine and though Christel was nervous the depression would return she was grateful when it did not. The transition has been smooth for her and she says that she is now feeling better than ever. Christel has been able to breastfeed both of her children and says that particularly with Noah when she was struggling those moments were her happy place.
