The lovely Kassi Van Lanen with her twin boys Rory and Riley (15 months). Kassi and her husband struggled with infertility for two years before conceiving their twins. They tried two rounds of IUI and then their first round of IVF took. Kassi's pregnancy was very healthy as twin pregnancies go. However, she had a cyst on her uterus that grew as her boys grew and unfortunately, they ran out of room pre-term. Her water broke at 32 weeks 6 days; she was in the hospital until the next day before labor started and once it did she was taken in for a cesarean. The spinal didn't take fully, so Kassi had to be put under and didn't wake up until her boys were several hours old. Riley was not breathing when he was born, and both he and Rory had been taken to the NICU. Thankfully, he was able to recover and both boys just needed time to learn to breathe, eat and grow. They were both able to come home from the NICU within 5 weeks of birth.
