The lovely Jennifer Leonard with Benjamin (2.5 years) and Ava (9 months). Jennifer had wonderful pregnancies with each of her children. Her son was measuring large and the decision was made to induce at 39 weeks. After 40 hours of laboring with little progress she was labeled as failure to progress and taken for a cesarean birth. Her epidural had wore off so she was put fully under and wasn't able to see her sons birth. She didn't remember meeting him for hours later. Once she was able to be reunited with him things were okay but he was then taken for his hearing screen and never brought back. He had some green emesis and was transferred to another hospital so they could see what was going on. Jennifer was unable to see her son for another 2 days. Things ended up being okay and it was determined he'd just had severe reflux. Jennifer had tried to breastfeed but ended up switching to formula after after a couple months and Ben is a happy and healthy toddler today. Ava's pregnancy was wonderful as well but was measuring large so Jennifer decided to schedule a cesarean so she could know that she would be present for her daughters birth. Everything went well and her didn't have any complications. Breastfeeding has been more successful this time but Ava was having a hard time putting on weight so after a lot of testing they decided to begin supplementing with formula.
