The stunning Tara Jacobs and Hannah (3.5) and Alexander (1.5)
Tara feels lucky to have had an easy time getting pregnant with both kids. She LOVED being pregnant, had uncomplicated vaginal births and breastfed both kids. "I would have a hundred more babies if I could, but I was diagnosed with MS when Hannah was 3 months old". MS has taken a bit of a toll on Tara's body. While her pregnancy and delivery with Alexander were totally fine, the sleep deprivation triggers her symptoms so she has made peace with having these two beautiful babies, no more. "Parenting is hard. It has both challenged and enhanced our marriage. It tests me physically and emotionally everyday. At least once a day I remind myself and my husband that we are first time parents to Hannah and first time parents to Alexander, so we are learning how to navigate this whole family/raising kids thing together".
"I first saw the 4th Trimester website when Hannah was an infant and was so moved by the courage of all the mothers - exposed both physically and emotionally. I am constantly wavering between hyper critical of my postpartum body and accepting of these changes. Maybe seeing my body through a different lens and the way my kids have no judgement might help me to accept more often than criticize."
