The tremendous Kelly Taylor with her daughters Grier (4), Kate (2) and Clare (7 months). Kelly has had healthy and complication free pregnancies with each of her girls. At her 39 week check up with Grier she was already quite dilated so they sent in her in for an induction. Things progressed well but near the end it was determined that Grier had a short cord and her heart rate had begun to drop. Kelly was able to get her out with a little bit of vacuum assistance. Kelly had an early miscarriage between Grier and Kate but Kate's pregnancy was very healthy. She carried to 39 weeks again this time but labor began naturally and progressed very quickly with her daughter being born within an hour of arriving at the hospital. Kelly says that Clare's delivery was her easiest by far. She went into labor again at 39 weeks and things progressed steadily but more slowly than they had with Kate. Breastfeeding has gone well for Kelly, also. She breastfed Grier until about 9 months, Kate for 10 months and Clare is still nursing today.
Kelly says that even though her body has done so much and her husband is constantly telling her how amazing she is and how beautiful, there are times it's been a struggle to see how much she has physically changed. She knows that in order to raise strong, confident women who love their bodies she needs to start with herself. She is excited to bravely join the beautiful women who have participated before her.
