The lovely Kristie Hoskins with her son Jet (17), Jaydon (4) and her surviving quadruplets Matilda, Parker and Oliver (1 today!). Kristie is also mum to Alex (12 - not pictured) and Sunny, one of her quads who passed away in utero. Kristie had very healthy pregnancies, she never got morning sickness or had blood pressure problems. All of her children were born via cesarean because she does not dilate. Her first three pregnancies were spontaneous, but she turned to fertility treatments and was saving for IVF after trying for three years to conceive a little girl. Inevitably, they conceived the old fashioned way! Kristie's quad pregnancy was tougher simply due to her size, and she found it very difficult to get around. She learned at 25 weeks that her daughter Sunny had died, and delivered the babies at 31 weeks. Her survivors only had to spend 4 weeks in the special care nursery and all came home on the same day. Kristie wasn't able to breastfeed her first son as he was born with a cleft lip and palate. Jet had to have open heart surgery, at 4 weeks old and was only given one day to live. He was then fed by an NG-tube for the first year of life. She went straight to formula with Alex and was able to nurse Jaydon for a while. She expressed milk for her quads while in the NICU and then supplemented with formula. At 4-5 months old Parker tried to latch and she was able to relactate and nurse for a few months. Kristie has a had a difficult time with her stomach and says that she would get a tummy tuck if she could, but she's trying to learn to love her body for what it is.
